Packin' heat at NRA 2016 in Louisville?

Not all NRA Annual Meeting venues have historically welcomed peaceable citizens carrying handguns.

This year, with the upcoming meeting in Louisville, KY, it seemed prudent to inquire of NRA about carrying at the meeting.

Hello Liston,

Thank you for your email. During the 2016 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits, lawfully carried firearms will be permitted in the Kentucky Exposition Center with the proper license in accordance with Kentucky law. When carrying your firearm, always adhere to all Federal, state and local laws.
Thank you for your continued support of the NRA and we look forward to seeing you in May!
Sincerely,
Helen

So, there you have it. Be sure and check for yourself, as these things are subject to change.

If you are traveling through Illinois, check out THIS BROCHURE. Be wary of Illinois.
